Dear Lyla offers fuss-free return/exchange for any reasons. You may make a return/exchange request for your purchase within 14 days from the date of receipt of your items.

For return/exchange via mailing or courier pick-up, you will have to mail out the item(s)/arrange the courier pick-up schedule with us within 7 days from receiving our return/exchange request approval. For return/exchange via meet-up appointment, you will have to schedule a date that is within 7 days from receiving our return/exchange request approval for the meet-up (subjected to Dear Lyla's availability).
*Requests for returns and exchanges thereafter will not be entertained.

Exchange/return items meet the following conditions to be eligible for returns and exchange:
  1. Items are unworn, unwashed, unaltered and with its tags intact.
  2. Items are in their original packaging.
If you return an item that does not meet our exchange/return conditions, we reserve the right to reject the return and any request for a store credit refund.

  • For regular priced items purchased without discount codes OR items purchased with subscriber discount code (mailing list) or store credits, you may choose to return or exchange for any item in our store.

    For exchanges, the following conditions apply:

    • If the replacement item of choice is of a lower value, the remaining value will be reimbursed as store credits.
    • If the exchange item is of a higher value, you will have to pay the difference. We will send you an email with the payment instructions when we receive the item.
    • If your desired size or colour is no longer available, we will inform you and reimburse you with store credits.

    For returns, reimbursement will be in the form of store credits which has no expiry. Store credits cannot be used in combination with any other discount codes. There is strictly no cash refunds.

    *Do note that if you return all items of an order, you will be charged a fee of SGD3.50 to cover the initial free standard courier shipping which we had provided you.

  • For items purchased with any discount codes other than subscriber discount code (items must not be in "Sale" category), you may choose to exchange for a different design or different size of the same item (subject to item’s availability).

  • For items in "Sale" category, you can only exchange for a different size of the same item (subject to item’s availability).

*Note: Sale items and items purchased with discount codes are strictly non-returnable for store credits (unless the item is defective - please see section on what is considered as a defect). Exchange is allowed for sale items or items purchased with discount code unless stated otherwise in the sales/promo code terms and conditions.

Dear Lyla offers one-time free return/exchange for our Singapore customers who purchased 4 or more items in an order (items must not be in ‘Sale’ category and items must not be purchased with discount codes). Otherwise, cost of returns and exchange shipments of these items would have to be covered by the customer. Alternatively, you may also opt for exchange via appointment to save on mailing cost. Do note that if you return all items of an order, you will be charged a fee of SGD3.50 to cover the initial free standard shipping which we had provided you.

If the reason for return/exchange is due to incorrect or defective item, Dear Lyla will bear the cost of all shipments. Please see “What is considered a defect” tab for more information. Please email us with pictures of the issue at wecare@dearlyla.com and we will do our best to resolve the issue for you.

Exchanges can only be done once for each item and the exchange will be final after it has been processed.

Purchase of intimates, swimwear, accessories, bags, gift cards are final and cannot be returned or exchanged.

Return & Exchange Form

When your request is approved, you may opt for either returning the items via mailing, courier pick-up or appointment.

For returns/exchange via mailing:

  1. Pack the item in its original packaging. You may reuse our Dear Lyla polymailer which is resealable for your convenience.
  2. Send your parcel to the address provided in our email using a delivery method that allows tracking.
  3. Drop us an email with the parcel tracking number to keep us informed of your return parcel.

*Do note that you are responsible for the item until it reaches us and kindly retain all proof of mailing until an acknowledgement has been sent from us that we have received your return parcel.

For returns/exchange via courier pick-up (only eligible for SG orders):

Option 1 : At a fee of SGD 4, we will send you a shipping label to print and stick on your return parcel.
Option 2 : At a fee of SGD 4.50, simply write the tracking number on the parcel - no printing needed.
*Pickups can be scheduled from Monday to Friday, between 9am to 6pm.

  1. Reply to our approval email to opt for courier pick-up from your doorstep.
    Let us know which option you would like to choose and which timing you would like to schedule for courier pick-up.
  2. Pack the item in its original packaging. You may reuse our Dear Lyla polymailer which is resealable for your convenience.
  3. Make the payment and follow the instruction accordingly.
  4. Wait for delivery man to pick up your parcel at home & done!

For returns/exchange via appointment:

  1. We will contact you to set an appointment for the return/exchange. However, do note that this arrangement is strictly by appointment and location and time of appointment would be subjected to the availability of Dear Lyla.

  2. Our preferred meet-up locations are:
    • Seletar Mall (Fernvale LRT)/(Layar LRT)
    • International Plaza (Tanjong Pagar MRT)
    • White Sands (Pasir Ris MRT)

*Do note that Dear Lyla would not be liable for the transportation charges incurred by you for this method of return/exchange.

If we accept your return, we will reimbursement the store credits to you within 7 days from the day we receive your return item. If you do not receive your store credits within 7 days, kindly drop us an email at wecare@dearlyla.com and we will assist you as soon as possible.

*NOTE:For exchange of items purchased with discount code other than subscriber discount code, we will inform you if the item you wish to exchange to is unavailable on the day we receive your return parcel or 12 hours prior to the meet-up appointment. In the case it becomes unavailable, you will have to exchange to another item.

As for exchange of items purchased at regular price or with subscriber discount code, you may either select another item to exchange to or opt for reimbursement in the form of store credits. (*Do note that store credits do no have expiry date but it cannot be used with other discount codes.)

We sincerely apologise if you have received a defect item in your order.

If you believe you have received a defective item, please inform us within 14 days of receiving the item by emailing us at wecare@dearlyla.com with your order number and a photograph of the defect. We will get back to you as soon as possible to resolve the issue.

For returns and exchange of defective items, the items have to meet the following conditions:
  1. Items are unworn, unwashed, unaltered and with its tags intact.
  2. Items are in their original packaging.

If there are still instocks for the defect item, Dear Lyla will arrange for a one-to-one exchange for you with postage borne by us. In the event if the defect item is out of stock, a refund via store credits will be issued.

*Please ensure you have received our acknowledgement, via email or DM, prior to returning defective or incorrect items. 

A defective merchandise is defined as an item that has manufacturer defects at the point of receipt that affect the outer appearance of the clothing and is obvious when worn (before washing), holes, pills, missing buttons or spoilt zippers which are unable to be zipped or unzipped.

Due to the nature of some fabrics such as linen, satin or fabrics with textures, there may be some streaks/slight stains/specks of fabric on the items. However, this is not considered a defect.

Treatment of clothing with the use of bleach, strong detergents, high heat (e.g. dryer or iron) or soaking may result in unintended damage to your clothing items. Dear Lyla will not be able to offer a replacement or refund once your items have been washed.

Some examples of other minor impecfections that are unlikely to affect the overall appearance of the clothing and hence not considered as defects are:

  1. Minor variations in measurement - within 0.5 inches (measured when item is laid flat and untouched), is not considered a defect as our items are all mass manufactured by hand.
  2. Slight colour deviations are also not considered defect as colours may appear different under different monitor resolutions and studio/outdoor lighting.
  3. Placement of prints for printed items as it will differ for every piece due to cut of fabric.
  4. Minor stains or technical markings that can be easily washed off.
  5. Small dotted stains on light coloured items that are not at obvious places.
  6. Loose threads, loose buttons, dropped buttons which can be easily resewn.
  7. Minor threading on inner lining and minor stains in inner lining/areas that are not visible when worn.

*Sales items may have slight defects like small scratch or small stain that are unnoticeable and negligible when worn are strictly not returnable and can only be exchanged to a different size of the same item.

All other reasons for a request for return or exchange will be considered on a case by case basis.

Dear Lyla reserves the right of final decision in the event of any dispute.
